Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
Employee resource groups (ERGs) help to foster diversity and create a supportive, beneficial work environment for teams. Employee resource groups are formed and led by people who share certain characteristics to create a safe space within their organization. Religious, ethnic, and gender-based groups are common ERGs; they can also incorporate interests, lifestyle preferences, or other commonalities, like those for people with disabilities or working parents. ERGs are generally voluntary and offer spaces for discussions, resources, and a smaller group setting where employees can meet within the organization.
